Will this part fit your Land Rover?

A model name is a starting point, not a fitment guarantee. Before buying a used part, collect the details that let a parts specialist or supplier confirm the exact match.

1. Start with your vehicle

Write down the model, model year, engine, transmission, and market specification. Keep the VIN available for a trusted parts specialist; there is no need to publish your complete VIN in a public listing or comment. Ask which vehicle details the supplier needs to confirm fitment.

2. Read the number on the actual part

Ask for a clear photo of the label, casting, or stamped number. Copy every letter and suffix. A listing title or a similar-looking housing is not enough. If the number differs, ask a knowledgeable supplier to confirm an official replacement or supersession before paying.

3. Compare the details that pictures can reveal

Request photographs of connectors, mounting points, ports, brackets, and the reverse side. Compare them with your existing part. Note the side of the vehicle and any included hardware. Photos help identify differences, but they do not establish compatibility by themselves.

4. Separate compatibility from condition

Ask whether the item has been tested, what the test involved, and whether any faults were observed. For electronic components, ask a qualified specialist whether installation requires coding or programming. A compatible part can still be faulty.

5. Get the agreement in writing

Confirm the exact part number, included pieces, disclosed defects, delivery arrangements, and any return terms in the message thread. If fitment is uncertain, pause and check with a qualified specialist. Rover Yard does not certify that a listing fits your vehicle.
